CREDIT FOR WIDOWS Millions of women become the family breadwinner in the aftermath of war and to them falls the task of rebuilding shattered families and communities. Women who provide the sole support of countless households bear the heaviest burden and are most in need of financial credit. Widows need long-term development support yet access to credit and training is rare. Often widows and their children become the 'poorest of the poor.'
Income generating activities can offer a brighter future for those left behind. With your help the WomenAid Microcredit Fund for Widows will provide loans and grants, together with training and advice, to groups of widows who need start up credit for their income generating ideas.
