PROJECT
FINANCIAL OFFICER (Part-time)

KEY
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under
the overall guidance of the WomenAid Project Management Team the Project Financial
Officer will be responsible for the following:
-
Processing
salary payments, purchase invoices, approved project visit expenses and
arranging payments;
-
Liaising
with the bank and providing bank reconciliation and financial summary
statements.
-
Preparing
management accounts including monthly financial and project reports, and
quarterly statement of financial activities and balance sheet.

Maintaining
separate project records and accounts, petty cash accounts and staffing
tables.
-
Other
related tasks as requested by WomenAid.
-
Liaise,
collaborate and consult with all project partners and beneficiaries, arrange
and attend meetings, producing reports/minutes of meetings as necessary;
-
Systematically
collect relevant data/information and maintain administrative and financial
records and participate in general office administration.

Preparation
of final financial report.
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS:
-
University
degree and/or experience in book-keeping and accounting procedures;
-
Working
experience with an international and/or national NGO and experience in
project financial planning and reporting;
-
A
team player with excellent administrative, financial and communication
skills;
-
Skilled
computer literacy in all Microsoft office programs, including data
processing skills;
-
Excellent
English, Russian and Georgian language skills, both written and oral.

WomenAid
International Caucasus is the Caucasus regional representative partner of
WomenAid International (WAI), a British based humanitarian and development
agency, that also advocates for human rights awareness and gender equality. WAI
began its operations in the Caucasus in 1994 in partnership with ECHO, WFP and
UNHCR.
‘UNDERSTANDING
GENDER VIOLENCE’ TRAINING PROGRAMME
The
United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund has awarded WomenAid International-Caucasus
funds to implement a 12 month national programme of awareness raising and gender
sensitivity training in gender violence issues and women’s human rights to
police, law enforcement officers, service providers and other professionals in
Georgia.
The project will produce an
‘Understanding Gender Violence’ Toolkit and dedicated website.
WomenAid International-Caucasus will implement the project through the
Tbilisi based Health & Gender Equity Centre.
